Shipping Policy
Every Khidki order is packed by hand in Bengaluru and sent with tracking. Here is exactly what happens between your order and your wall.

Dispatch times
Prints are made to order, so nothing sits in a warehouse waiting. Your file goes to the print studio as soon as the order is confirmed, and I check the print before it is packed. That extra step costs a day or two and is worth it.
| Item | Dispatched within |
|---|---|
| Unframed fine-art print | 4–7 working days |
| Framed fine-art print | 8–12 working days |
| Custom or non-standard size | 10–14 working days |
You will receive a tracking link by email as soon as the parcel leaves the studio. If anything is going to take longer than the window above, I will write to you before the window ends rather than after it.
Delivery estimates
Delivery time is counted from dispatch, not from the day you order. Parcels go by a tracked courier service; which one depends on your pin code.
| Destination | Typical transit |
|---|---|
| Bengaluru | 1–3 working days |
| Metro cities in India | 3–6 working days |
| Rest of India | 5–10 working days |
| International | 10–21 working days |
Shipping charges
- Within India: a flat ₹150 for unframed prints and ₹450 for framed pieces. Shipping is free on orders above ₹3,000.
- International: quoted individually once I know the destination and the size of the piece. Write to me before ordering and I will send you an exact figure.
- Large framed works above 16 × 20 in: quoted individually, because these need a crate rather than a carton.
Customs duties, import taxes and handling fees on international orders are set by the destination country and are payable by the recipient. They are not included in the price you pay at checkout.
How your order is packed
Packaging is not an afterthought — most damage happens in transit, so this is where the care goes.
- Unframed prints are interleaved with acid-free tissue, sleeved in a clear archival sleeve, and rolled into a rigid kraft tube with end caps. Prints up to 12 × 16 in may be sent flat in a rigid board mailer instead.
- Framed prints are corner-protected, wrapped in bubble, and boxed in a double-walled carton with foam inserts. Glass is taped to contain it if it breaks.
- Every parcel is marked fragile and includes a signed card explaining how to unroll, flatten and hang the work.
Delivery addresses
Please double-check your address and phone number before confirming an order — couriers in India rely heavily on a reachable phone number. Address changes are only possible before dispatch. Once a parcel has shipped, it has to complete its journey before it can be redirected.
If a parcel is returned to the studio because the address was incomplete or nobody was available across the courier's delivery attempts, I will re-ship it once you cover the return and re-dispatch charges.
Delayed or missing parcels
Tracking sometimes stalls for a day or two, especially during festival weeks and monsoon disruptions. If your tracking has not moved for five working days, email saudamini@mykhidki.com with your order number and I will chase the courier on your behalf.
If a parcel is confirmed lost by the courier, I will replace it at no cost to you.
Damage in transit
If your parcel arrives damaged, please read the Returns & Replacement Policy — there is a short window for reporting it, and photographs of the packaging make the process much faster.
